1974 TVR 2500M

This car spent most of it's life in the mild climate of Oregon. Huge stack of receipts going back to 1979. Completely refurbished during the pandemic with new paint (yellow/black), interior, tires, and mechanics. In the last 500 miles, the car has received rebuilt carburetors; new fuel, oil, and water pumps; new piston rings; a new timing chain and tensioner; and new rod and main bearings. The head was milled to 1970s pre-emission standards. Twin electric fans were installed to improve cooling, and heater hoses are new, as well. Easy cold start and proper idle when using the manual choke. The four-speed manual transmission and the differential were rebuilt and the clutch cylinders are new. The unrestored frame has no significant corrosion. Shown at Portland's All British Field Meet last summer. Needs a speedometer cable...please contact us at The Old Oregon Motor Co if you have one. Total and complete body off restoration. Original Vin Tags. Work included was as follows: Body soda blasted and painted in Silver Birch, New canvas sunroof, custom bonnet scoop created by Zappa Racing, custom side vents. The Triumph 2500 was rebuilt by Boffo motors with a Richard Goode Cam, Total seal rings, balanced and blueprinted. Triple webers were installed along with an aluminum dual fan radiator from a Saab (It never overheats in stand still 90 degree weather), Petronix, MSD, 4 speed overdrive Type A transmission, custom headers and exhaust, roll bar, all new interior, seats, carpet, vinyl, original perfect door panels, polished aluminum everywhere, new dash pad, window trim, etc. Custom front chin spoiler. Marcal head lights, stainless mesh grill. Very fast and set up like my race car.

Round tube chassis. Chassis has been restored . Car starts, runs and shifts well. All gauges work. The engine has a Richard Goode GP3-110 Camshaft, aluminum flywheel, 65 Amp upgraded alternator, modified CD175 carburetors rebuilt by Curto, 4 speed transmission. The car is apart, (body on chassis ready for paint. Excellent door panels, seats, sunroof. Nothing is missing and is all inventoried and tagged for reassembly. Zappa Racing is retiring and doesn’t have the time to do another restoration. Come to my shop in Pittsburgh and I’ll be happy to show the car.

A complete stripped body with a 1600 crossflow engine, 4 speed transmission, original differential. The dash is intact but removed from the car. I have original seats, glass etc. I would say 99% of the car is there. Maybe a few minor pieces missing. To my knowledge only one door panel is missing. All aluminum there, bumperettes, window side aluminum frames etc. Best thing to do is come to my shop and satisfy any question you might have.

I've owned this car for approximately 47 years. It has been to numerous car shows and has taken 1st place and a best in show at a local foreign car shows. This 1965 Griffith, is a series 200, (SN 200/5/169) with its original Ford 289CI engine (now sporting much more horsepower) and a 4-speed top loader transmission. The motor was built to HIPO plus specs by the original owner. This car is extremely fast and very rare. It has Spax shocks up front with the heavier Tuscan springs and still has its original TVR rear. Mona Lita steering wheel with custom made Griffith Badge. It also sports a rare factory luggage rack.I have the original take off's, plus a complete TVR rear. I also have a few hard to get items, also, some not so hard, not installed. Plus original Griffith Club newsletters from the 1970's etc.
The car has an older, on frame, nut and bolt restoration, at that time the engine was taken apart and new seals and rings etc. The car was painted in the original Regal Red. The cars finish is starting to show its age with a few chips and cracks; in addition, to some cracking over the right rear wheel well caused by the car falling off a jack stand. The car has been garaged 99% of its life.
I am the third owner of the car and it was prepared for racing by the first owner. The original cam was replaced by a High performance cam, solid lifters, and larger HIPO balancer, 12.5 compression ratio pistons and period correct 2 4's on a Cobra low rise intake. The original dual point distributor and proper spark plugs are in use. The car has less than 25,000 miles which reflects the mileage when I purchase it at 16xxx. It also has the proper Faria tack. Most of the other gauges are original and working. The cooling is now through a custom made cross flow aluminum radiator with puller fan. The car is very fast. The last car sold a few years ago, at an online auction sold for $135.000, check the latest prices at Hagerty. Cars like this do not come up for sale very often.
This car is a must for any collection. My very fair price $125,000.

Griffith number 008 Signature Willie Guise modified frame adjustable ansen NHRA bell housing, ford top loader transmission 4 speed. 21266 original miles taken apart for paint in 1976 and has been in dry storage on blocks since 76 .Car has original Dunlop tires from 1965. Interior was removed with intension to replace with leather. Breaks my heart to have to part with my toys but physically can’t enjoy them. Also have several non-Triumph toys for sale.
